Cari Clement, Director of Fashion and Design for Caron Yarn, discusses the Rwanda Knits program with Leisure Arts Editor-in-Chief, Susan Sullivan, at the 2009 CGOA Summer Knit and Crochet Show. The program provides hand-operated, American-made knitting machines, technical, and business training to low-income Rwandan women.

Maggie visits the Hyperbolic Crochet Reef exhibit at the Scottsdale Civic Center Library in Scottsdale, AZ. The reef (which was on display in Scottsdale from May - July of 2009) is designed to draw attention to the dangers the Great Barrier Reef in Australia and other reefs around the world face due to pollution and global warming.
