My local yarn store has a library of bears. The owner asks customers to check one out (like a library book), take it home, create an outfit for it & return it. These bears are collected & given to children at a special camp (where they also receive a hand-made quilt) who have lost a relative receiving Hospice care . I created this dress for my bear, which turned out beautifully. When I returned my bear to the yarn shop, I was told that my bear would not be given to a child. The shop owner decided right then & there to donate my bear to the Hospice auction coming up in October; she believes it will fetch a high price. I was surprised & very flattered.

Thank you for creating this wonderful pattern & making it available to everybody. I had the most fun making it, & I know that whoever receives this bear will love it.
